Our research group is actively involved in several public engagement projects. We have previously organized several public events including poster-exhibitions, health-camps, and lectures.
We have recently organized a poster-exhibition on Breaking Cancer Myths. This exhibition was curated by undergrad students from MMG, University of the Punjab. We receive multiple text messages and emails about cancer causes and treatments. Also, there is a lot of information on internet regarding cancer. The problem is that much of the information out there is incorrect, or even dangerously misleading. In this poster exhibition, we aimed to set the record straight on common cancer myths that we regularly encounter.
Lecture on Breast Cancer Awareness
In out last annual event (A Short-course on Cancer Biology, 2019), we also invited the CEO of Pink Ribbon Pakistan to talk about breast cancer awareness.
